Wir schreiben das Jahr 1972 und erkunden die musikalische, persönliche und politische Welt von John und Yoko – vor dem Hintergrund einer turbulenten Ära der US-amerikanischen Geschichte. Im Mittelpunkt steht das Wohltätigkeitskonzert «One to one» – John Lennons letztes abendfüllendes Konzert vor seinem Tod. Das bisher unveröffentlichte Archivmaterial, Aufzeichnungen persönlicher Telefongespräche, private Videos von John und Yoko und restaurierte Aufnahmen ihres «One to one» Konzerts prägen das Filmdokument.
