Das Boot ist voll
Sechs Personen ist 1943 die Flucht aus Deutschland in die Schweiz gelungen, doch diese beschliesst im August des Jahres eine Verschärfung ihrer Aufnahmebedingungen.
Markus Imhoofs Spielfilm, der es anfangs der 1980er Jahre beinahe zu Oscar-Ehren gebracht hätte, besticht unvermindert in der emotional starken Schilderung einer Episode, wie sie sich in der Schweiz des Jahres 1943 zugetragen haben könnte. Die Geschichte vom Umgang mit einer Gruppe von Flüchtlingen überzeugt, weil Imhoof keine Schwarzweissmalerei betreibt sondern Menschen zeigt, die in einer schwierigen Situation hin- und hergerissen wirken zwischen Pflichtbewusstsein und gesundem Menschenverstand, zwischen Obrigkeitshörigkeit und Nächstenliebe. «Das Boot ist voll» ist ein Film über die schiere Menschenwürde.
