Decision to Leave
Manchmal gibt es Filme, denen man sich mehr Beachtung wünschen würde. Dieser da führt uns kaleidoskopartig vor Augen, wie das Kino immer noch neue Erzählarten auf Lager hat. Am Fuss eines Berges in Südkorea wird ein Toter gefunden. Ist er gesprungen, oder wurde er gestossen? Bald beginnt der höfliche Polizist Hae-joon die Frau des Toten zu verdächtigen. Je tiefer er in die Ermittlungen hineingezogen wird, umso mehr verfängt er sich in einem Netz aus Täuschung und Begehren. Ein Krimi? Eine Liebesgeschichte? Auf alle Fälle ein modern und faszinierend erzähltes Stück, das zwischen Film Noir und Melodrama oszilliert, von feinem Humor durchzogen ist und hochspannend.
